Today there was a 50 car pile up on the 15 because of heavy inland fog. But on the brighter side, this weather is a hikers dream. Well, not so much a hikers dream as it is a peak baggers dream. The cooler temps means less water which means lighter pack which equals fun times.

If you can, take advantage of the cooler temps and overcast days. This month is like winter minus the chance of rain and snow. Like everything else though, the fog will soon disappear, only to be replaced by the heat of July. I’m already not looking forward to the hot sun, the 90 degree temps, or just the plain miserableness of hiking in the middle of a heat wave.
